What made you want to study renewable energy?
Renewable energy has always interested me, and with it being such an important and growing industry in Scotland, it’s a very enticing path to follow. Living in a rural area with wind farms nearby, I’ve always liked the idea of being able to get involved in these and help support my local area.
How did the financial support from Renantis help your studies?
The financial support I received helped significantly with the cost of travel to university. Since my classes are in person and we’re normally in the morning, due to peak time fares leading to my student railcard being obsolete (and the price of rail travel rising in general) I would not have been able to afford my travel to class without the support.
What are your career plans for the future?
Ideally, I would like to go down the design route with civil engineering, possibly in ground and foundation works with a possible link to renewables in some way.
